May 14th

Hi guys, woh time fly's still getting used to this Blog, I will endeavour to keep it chugging along more often.  Below are a few snap shots of foodie stuff as well as other activities. The wild harvest belongs to my gfreater philosophy about life and the way I live my own. Its about living in harmonyw ith nature if thats possible and only I will care about how much I do towards my surroundings. In the big scheme of things I am not trying to change the world but limit the effects that I have on it.
Some pumpkins grown at home

This is my rhubard waiting for me to buy another house so I can put her back in the soil- this variety is very old hence the colour and the thickness of the stalks. If you have some keep it, if you dont ask around and get some.

One of my lovely girls- 8 months old

Kids Pet- with a twist- I bought english giant cross New zealand female ( Breed for meat) this rabbit is not locked up, free to roam and keep down the grass- I call them my ecological lawnmowers.

The Avon river awaits- little did I know I would be wet within 10 minutes of this photo being taken
Fantastic way to look around- next time we are taking the rods and getting supper on the go!

Lemon- recomend that every house should have a lemon tree in the back yard- how there is even a business that sells lemon juice beggers belief- This variety is Myer Lemon- smaller lemons but brilliant in aroma and taste

Pomegranites- Parents tree

First pumpkin of the season- this is half- we should be fine for pumpkins for a whie at least- realistically once we run out thats it we wont buy them we will move onto something is in season.

On another note, scored some walnuts from some street trees in ballarat that I know about- might go for a drive to bruthen and have a look underneath the trees there. Also Chest nuts are ready as well. There are 2 trees with fruit on the ground on the way to Leongatha coming from traralgon- beofre mirboo north ( just past the Trafalgar turnoff)
